Eugene was born on July 31st, 1939, in Toledo, OH, to Henry and Mary (Sydorowicz) Majeski. Eugene found his soulmate, Ruth “Ginny” Pierson, and they were united in marriage on January 7th, 1961. They would be blessed with 61 years together and two children along the way.

Eugene discovered his time and talents which would provide for his family were to be found in the printing industry first. He invested over 25 years with Puriski Printing as a linotype operator and also the Toledo Blade before moving to Escanaba, Michigan. While residing in Escanaba, he continued in the printing profession at Richard’s printing for a few more years. Eventually, Eugene decided it would be best to switch careers and moved into the maintenance/custodial field. He would complete the next 20 years of his working career at Shopko, various other businesses and lastly at New Hope Church in Platteville, WI, where he attended faithfully.

As well, Eugene was a naturally gifted musician who was self-taught on the accordion and keyboard. He enjoyed being able to share his gifts whenever possible.

Eugene invited Jesus Christ into his life in 1982.   Eugene was an outgoing servant who enjoyed visiting nursing homes and those who were in need of a word of hope and encouragement.

Eugene made friends everywhere he went and always had a word of encouragement at the ready. His quick wit and storytelling abilities were quite legendary within his inner circle and many of the memories of those joyful moments will surely help to heal the broken hearts which now remain.

Eugene was a positive influence in the world to so many. Thank you, Eugene, for not only being the love, salt, and light in the lives of all who knew and loved you, but for also setting the bar just right so that we can adjust accordingly as we carry your legacy forward in our lives.

“Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”  Matthew 25:23
