Eula B. Fountain

Eula Beatrice Fountain was born May 4, 1949, as the oldest child of Helen Johnson Fountain in West Helena, Arkansas.

 

She was educated in West Helena, Arkansas and later moved to Chicago, IL then Kankakee, IL. In 1992 she moved to Dubuque, IA. 

 

Eula was a believer in the Lord her entire life. She was a person known for the love she had for her family. Her favorite pastimes and hobbies included journaling, classic T.V. shows, bird watching, garage sales, music, and of course dancing. Good music, food and friendship were three of her favorite enjoyments that she shared with everyone she was blessed to meet. 

 

Eula departed this life on May 9, 2021, after her battle against Alzheimer’s . She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Helen Fountain, her sister, Evelyn, her brother, Allen, along with one son, Richard.

 

She leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy of love three siblings; Alvin Fountain of Dubuque, IA, James “Jimmy” Fountain of California, and Ivy Fountain Sr. of Dubuque, IA, seven children; Roman Fountain, Della Saleem, Donella Fountain, Flesica Fountain, Marlin Peoples, Carlin Peoples and Gwendolyn “Francine” Fountain, eight grandchildren; Kiesha, Martel, Jhazmine, Deontiz, Kimesha,  Daeauna, Demarion, and Jamarciano; ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and the Tabernacle of Faith church family and friends.

 

She was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed! A memorial service will be held at The Tabernacle of Faith Apostolic Church, 801 Garfield Avenue, Dubuque, IA, 52001 on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at noon.

 

The family of Eula Fountain would like to thank everyone for your concern and kindness during this time of bereavement. We are forever grateful for your outpouring of love, cards, calls, texts and kind words. A special acknowledgement to the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home for all of your hard work and dedication to Eula’s care. Thank you Phil Jensen for your guidance where we needed it most. Thank you Jason & Tri-State Cremation Center for your compassion. And a special thank you to the Tabernacle of Faith Church. We appreciate you more than words can express for all you have done.
