Mary L. Davis

Mary L. Davis, age 63 of Galena and formerly of Dubuque, completed her earthly journey on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, with her loving husband by her side.  To celebrate Mary’s life, a private family service is being held in June.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Mary’s family.

Mary was born on May 31, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter to Frederick H. and Helen M. (Phau) Wade.  She graduated from high school in 1973 and shortly after began her life as an adult by beginning a family of her own.  She was blessed with 4 beautiful children and would have the privilege of living in multiple cities around the U.S. before finally landing in Dubuque.  Her years in the Dubuque area where definitely good to Mary and she not only had the opportunity to share her positive attitude with those around her, but she was also fortunate enough to find her true love, Eric Davis.  The couple was united in marriage on November 8, 2010 in Dubuque and spent the last 8 years adoring one another daily.

Mary did enjoy working outside of the house in her later years and always treasured the time she was able to spend with her friends in the kitchen at Mt. Carmel, and at the Ice Cream Shop, until she eventually retired in 2013.  Mary was a kind woman with a gentle soul.  Solitude could be her friend at times, but if she let you in, her friendship was true till the end.  We will miss Mary more than words can possibly say, but we are forever grateful for the abundance of love and memories she leaves behind for us to find comfort in until we see her again.
