Norma J. Davis

Norma J. Davis, age 85, of Galena, IL, completed her earthly journey on March 22, 2023, at the Midwest Senior Care Community in Galena.  To honor Norma’s life, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at the Galena Bible Church, 11108 US-20, with Pastor Gary Kirst officiating.  Family and friends of Norma’s are invited to join in fellowship for one hour prior to the service at the church. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Norma’s family.

Norma was born on April 9, 1937, in Council Hill, IL, a daughter to Russell and Inez (Cliff) Wills.  Norma was a kind and gentle woman who even through the trials in her life always trusted that the Lord was in control and always had a plan in all things.  She lost her first two husbands early in life, but was blessed to eventually find and marry, William Davis, and the two were blessed with 43 wonderful years together.  Norma’s children were everything to her and her family was her greatest pride and joy.  She did work outside of the home with a few different companies over her working years.  The Battery Factory and Eaton Corp early on, but her final years were spent as an eager and joyful sales associate at Irish Imports in Galena.  In her free-time, Norma could easily be found tending to her vast and beautiful flower gardens, or quite often sitting at her sewing machine working on her latest creations.  She was a talented seamstress and many of her pieces still exist today in countless homes throughout the area.  Norma took great pride in all that she did and continually gave 100% of her time and talents without hesitation.  Her family at the Galena Bible Church was also a priority in her daily life.  Norma’s devotion and commitment were always on display for all to see and her faithful dedication to her faith life brought her a peace beyond all understanding.  We will  miss Norma’s bright light shining vividly through the world around her and we pray that the Lord will now keep her safely in His loving arms until we all meet again.
