Bruce G. Clark, age 73, of Platteville, WI, completed his earthly journey on October 2, 2025, at home while surrounded by his loving family. To honor Bruce’s life, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Bruce’s family.
Bruce was born on March 27, 1952, in Prairie Du Chien, WI, a son to Keith and Carmen (St. Jacque) Clark. He was a genuine man among men who loved his family, embraced life fully and continually savored the opportunity to walk the path that was set before each day. Bruce honorably served his county with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. While stationed in Germany, the love of his life, Judith McCabe made her way to him after graduation and the two were united in marriage. Their life together had begun and soon they would both be back home together to write their story as each chapter presented itself. Bruce was a maintenance engineer by trade and spent the majority of his working career with the Federal Aviation Administration. Sadly, after an injury in 1995, Bruce found himself looking for a new way to invest his time and talents within the community around him. Never shying away from a good challenge, Bruce returned to school and earned both a welding and electronics degree. He thoroughly enjoyed tinkering around with computers and electronics and dove into his new passions with determination and purpose.
When Bruce wasn’t working, you could easily find him tending to their wonderful little homestead which he and Judy had built together. The animals always had a safe and comfortable place to live out their days when Bruce was around and each was cared for quite intentionally under his nurturing wings. Bruce also enjoyed any opportunity to put a few miles on his motorcycle when time and weather permitted as well. He always understood that a few hours of real freedom in the open air would do wonders for the soul. But, for those who knew Bruce best, it was undeniable that his family was his greatest pride and joy in this life. When the grandkids came along, so did a reinvigorated husband, father and grandpa. There was no more precious way to spend time than with his next generation by his side. Bruce would openly admit, not only in words, but in his actions as well, that the sun rose and set on his loved ones and he was always there to witness both as much as possible. The world is a lesser place today without Bruce’s tried and true spirit walking among us. His legacy lives on vividly within the hearts and minds of all who have followed his lead and thankfully the abundance of memories he leaves behind does as well. Thank you, Bruce, for living life as you saw fit while never forgetting that those around you were watching and listening along the way. May we find comfort in time as we attempt to navigate this new reality and may you find eternal peace now as your heavenly reunion begins with all who have been called home ahead of us.
