Carol Margaret Ellerbach

Carol Margaret Ellerbach

Carol Margaret Ellerbach, 73, of Bellevue, IA, entered the arms of Jesus peacefully on June 15, 2025. She was born on July 31, 1951, to Paul and Mary Kay (Schrobilgen) Barth.

Carol graduated from Cuba City High School, Class of 1969, and later attended Capri College, graduating in 1970 as a beautician. She was known throughout her life for her unwavering work ethic and deep devotion to her family. A tireless caregiver, Carol always placed the needs of others before her own. Her love created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the comfort of her presence.

Carol had a gift for making people feel welcomed and cherished. Her kindness and generosity were felt by all who knew her. One of her greatest joys was crocheting — countless family members and friends now hold her lovingly made creations as treasured keepsakes.

She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Ellerbach; her three children: Lyle Barth (of Colorado), Gina (Alexander Tone) Ellerbach-Tone, and Keith Ellerbach (of Alabama); and two beloved grandchildren: Reaghan Tone and Baby Tone, expected in September. Carol is also survived by her siblings: Bonnie Hammes, Paula (Ron) Digman, Anita (Ken) Kohout, Gerri Barth, Gene Barth, MJ Dachelet, Brenda (Kris) Enright, Karla (Bob) Stoney, and Ann (Matt) McDowell. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary Kay Barth; her grandparents, Emil and Mary Barth, and Joseph and Margaret Schrobilgen; her sister Gail Barth; brother-in-law George Hammes; and several extended family members.

In keeping with Carol’s wishes, no formal services will be held. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Bellevue Ambulance team and the compassionate staff at St. Luke’s Hospital for their care and kindness during this time.
