David R. Abbott, age 69, of Bellevue, IA, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, at his home while surrounded by his loving brothers and sister after a long illness. To honor David’s life, a private family service will be held at a later date. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving David’s family.
David was born on June 2, 1956, in Georgetown, KY, a son to William and Helen (Flynn) Abbott. He possessed a love for the outdoors. Campfires, peace and tranquility were his main objectives in life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lisa. Brothers, William (Mary) Abbott, Zwingle, and Michael Abbott, Bellevue. Sisters, Nora ( Michael) Hipschen, Florida, and Maryann (Kevin) Kutsch, Bellevue. Sister-in-law, Marcia Abbott, Bellevue.
David is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard (Holly) Abbott.
David’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice of Jackson County for all of their professional and compassionate care.
