Douglas A. “Doug” Drish

Douglas A. “Doug” Drish

Douglas A. “Doug” Drish, age 57, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on March 24, 2026, at Dubuque Specialty Care while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Doug’s life, a private family burial will be held at Dubuque Memorial Gardens at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Doug’s family.

Doug was born on October 9, 1968, in Dubuque, IA, a son to Ronald and Janice (Roddick) Drish.  He was gifted with a wonderful sense of humor and a likeable personality which helped him to make friends wherever he went.  Doug was the epitome of a friendly bartender and spent many years sharing his skills with the customers at Spirits Lounge, among a few other locations over the years.  He also spent some time working at AIH Chrome before health issues sadly forced him into an early retirement.

In his free-time, Doug never passed up an opportunity to do a little fly fishing and if the day had time and the weather was ideal, you could easily find him working on the perfect swing at the local golf course.  Doug made friends everywhere he went and hopefully some of those memories remain today as we say goodbye much too soon.  Thank you, Doug, for the good times throughout your journey among us and may peace be yours now until we all meet again.

Those left behind to cherish the memory of Doug include,

his three brothers,

Dennis (Esther) Drish, Tellico Village, TN,

David (Barb) Drish, Greenwood, MS,

and Danny ( Carolyn Cigrand) Drish, Anamosa, IA;

along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbors.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Duane Drish.

Doug’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice of Dubuque and Dubuque Specialty Care for their professional and compassionate care.
