Lucy M. Kruschke

Lucy M. Kruschke

Lucy M. Kruschke, age 65, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on June 18, 2025, at home while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Lucy’s life, a private family graveside service will be held at Linwood Cemetery.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Lucy’s family.

Lucy was born on December 4, 1959, in Dubuque, IA, a daughter to Howard and Theresa (Hitzler) Kruschke.  She was a truly kind and sweet soul who loved her family and always enjoyed visiting with friends whenever possible.  Her ability to make friends wherever she went blended perfectly with her 10 years at Toys-R-Us and another 13 years at the Molo Big 10 Mart in East Dubuque.  Striking up a friendly conversation with Lucy was as easy as saying hello.  In her free-time, you could easily find Lucy with her nephew, Richard, trying their luck at the casino.  They were quite a lucky team and had many big wins under their belt over the years.  It’s with heavy and broken hearts that we say farewell for now to Lucy.  The Lord called her home so much sooner than we were prepared for, but we find peace in knowing that her earthly health battles now cease and she begins her eternal reunion with all of her loved ones who’ve gone ahead of her.  Thank you, Lucy, for allowing your love and light to shine so vividly and freely throughout your 65 years among us and may the abundance of beautiful memories you leave behind help to comfort our hearts and minds until we all meet again.
