Douglas A. “Doug” Drish, age 57, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on March 24, 2026, at Dubuque Specialty Care while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Doug’s life, a private family burial will be held at Dubuque Memorial Gardens at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Doug’s family.

Christopher “Chris” Peterson

Christopher S. “Chris” Peterson, age 37, of Asbury, IA, lost his hard fought battle with cancer on March 13, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Chris’ life, a Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Blades Hall – University of Dubuque.  Inurnment will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque, IA, at a later date. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Chris’ family.

Doris Jane Huber

Doris Jane Huber, 91, of Dubuque died Thursday March 19, 2026, at Harmony of Dubuque. According to her wishes there will be no services. Tri-State Cremation Center is serving Doris’ family.

Lori A. “Peanut” Jochum

Lori A. “Peanut” Jochum, 59, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on March 19, 2026, after a courageous battle with appendiceal cancer.  To honor Lori’s life, a visitation for family and friends will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1701 Rhomberg Avenue.  A private family committal service will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery with Deacon John Stierman officiating.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Lori’s family.

Richard H. “Dick” Tigges

Richard H. “Dick” Tigges, age 84, of Bernard, IA, completed his earthly journey on March 13, 2026, at home while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Dick’s life, a private family graveside service will be held at Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Dick’s family.

Barbara M. Freiburger

Barbara M. Freiburger, age 79, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on March 13, 2026, at Mercy One Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. To celebrate Barbara’s life, a memorial mass will be held at 12:00 pm Friday March 20, 2026, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 2921 Central Avenue, with Rev. Msgr. Lyle Wilgenbusch officiating. Family and friends are invited to join in fellowship from 10:00-12:00 pm. prior to the service at the church. Private burial services will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Barbara’s family.

Kathryn “Kay” (Freiburger) Engelhardt

Kathryn “Kay” Engelhardt, nee Freiburger, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home in the Villages, FL, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 19, 2026. She inspired all who knew her with her grace, strength, and loving spirit. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 2921 Central Avenue, Dubuque, IA. Mass will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, with Rev. Msgr. Lyle Wilgenbusch officiating. Interment was in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Jeffrey J. “Kieffy” Kieffer

Jeffrey J. “Kieffy” Kieffer, age 64, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on March 12, 2026, at home while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Jeff’s life, a private family burial will be held at Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Jeff’s family.

Forrest E. “Gene” Davis

Forrest Eugene (Gene) Davis, 80, of Barnes City, Iowa, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, surrounded by his family. Gene was born on January 7, 1946, at home in Montezuma, Iowa, to Vernon and Erma (Binegar) Davis. Gene attended Montezuma High School, where he was a standout football and baseball player. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Community Life Church on C Avenue in Barnes City, IA.  A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the service where family and friends are invited to gather and honor Gene’s life.

James Joseph “Jim” Widmyer

James (Jim) Joseph Widmyer, 79, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. James was born on December 3, 1946, to Joseph J. and Marian E. (Holz) Widmyer. A celebration of his life will happen at a later date.

Shirley Renee Box

Shirley R. Box, age 61, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on March 5, 2026, at Dubuque Specialty Care while surrounded by her loving family. Per Shirley’s request, there will be no public services. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Shirley’s family.

Grant C. Cashman

Grant C. Cashman, age 61, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on March 6, 2026, at home while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Grant’s life, a private family service is being held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Grant’s family.

Nicholas W. “Nick” Loeffelholz

Nicholas (Nick) William Loeffelholz, 75, of East Dubuque, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on March 3rd, surrounded by his family. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at Culbie’s Event Center (90 Sinsinawa Avenue, East Dubuque, IL).  Families and friends are welcome to join prayers and share memories of Nick from 11 AM to Noon, with a meal to follow.  All are welcome to join in celebrating Nick until 5 PM.

Raul Sayago Asencion

Raul Sayago Asencion age 42, of East Dubuque, IL, completed his earthly journey suddenly on March 1, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospital while surrounded by his loving family. To honor Raul’s life, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Raul’s family.

Roger E. Magby

Roger E. Magby, age 67, of Platteville, WI, completed his earthly journey on February 28, 2026, at home while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Roger’s life, a private family remembrance will be held at a later date.  Burial will be in the Belmont Cemetery at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Roger’s family.

Mary Jane Wunder

Mary Jane Wunder, age 79, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on February 27, 2026, at home while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Mary Jane’s life, a memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, March 6, 2026, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1425 Iowa Street, with Rev. Dennis Quint officiating.  Family and friends are invited to join in fellowship for one hour prior to the service at the church.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Mary Jane’s family.

John Leo Kelley

John Leo Kelley, age 78, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey suddenly on February 25, 2026.  To honor John’s life, a private family burial will be held at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving John’s family.

Lawrence E. “Larry” Walter

Lawrence E. “Larry” Walter, age 87, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on February 25, 2026, at MercyOne while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Larry’s life, a memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the Church of the Resurrection, 4300 Asbury Road in Dubuque, with Rev. Phil Gibbs officiating.  Family and friends are invited to join in fellowship from 9:00-10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Larry’s family.

Arlyn Weber

Arlyn R. Weber of Potosi, WI passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Sienna Crest, in Mineral Point, WI, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. According to his wishes, there will be no formal services and a private internment of his ashes will be held at a later date. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Depot at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium on March 6, 2026, from 5 to 7 PM. It has been suggested that mourners wear bike shorts in memory of Arlyn, something that he would have found totally hilarious. (With the caveat that Spandex is a privilege and not a right, which he routinely abused.)

Donald H. “Donnie” Klostermann

Donald H. “Donnie” Klostermann, age 82, of Dyersville, IA, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on February 16, 2026, at MercyOne Senior Care. All who knew and loved Donnie are invited to join his family from 2:00-4:00 p.m., on Sunday February 22, 2026, at the Field of Dreams Barn Event Center, 28995 Lansing Road in Dyersville.  A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier, 104 3rd Street SW in Dyersville, and burial will follow in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, where full military honors will be accorded by the Dyersville American Legion Post #137.
