Cindy L. Perry

Cindy L. Perry, age 62, of Worthington, Iowa, completed her earthly journey on August 17, 2020, at home, surrounded by her loving family. To honor Cindy’s life, a private family service is being held at a later date, we will let family know when. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Cindy’s family.

Cindy was born on December 9, 1957, in Maquoketa, Iowa, one of two daughters to Clifford and Blanche (Manning) Massey. She eventually met her soul-mate, Allen Perry, and the two were married 3 months later. They were blessed with 3 children, 11 grandchildren and 42 wonderful years together. Cindy devoted her entire life to loving and nurturing her family. Not only was she an adoring wife and mother, but Cindy also found joy in taking every opportunity to help raise many other children just as her own. Her free-time was occupied with many hobbies throughout the years. Countless hours were spent researching and recording family genealogy, while some time creating another quilt, or sitting contently and working on a craft were acceptable outlets as well. Also, any activity where she could be surrounded by family and friends would bring Cindy great satisfaction. Camping, while relaxing in the outdoors was among her favorites, along with sitting at the table working on a new puzzle, or trying her talents with a little friendly competition on a board game or cards. But, honestly, for Cindy it was simply about family. She didn’t care how, when, or where; just as long as they were by her side. The legacy of memories she leaves behind will surely bring us peace and healing in time, but for now, we must allow our hearts to ache and break as they do. We will strive to catch even a glimpse of the aroma of her fresh bread in our dreams now and pray for peace in all of our lives until we see her again. Thank you, Cindy, for being the wonderful example of unconditional love we all search for at times in our lives and may your eternal rewards for your loving kindness be as lofty as your mission was.
