Debbie was born on August 29, 1953, in Davenport, IA, a daughter to Irvin and Eileen (Cleary) Shaffer.  Debbie met Mark Meyer, and the couple was united in marriage on May 17, 1976.  Debbie and Mark owned and operated the Hang Out in East Dubuque, Ill. Debbie spent some of her free-time sewing, refinishing projects at home, and spending time with family and friends when time allowed.  She was a straight-shooter who simply tried to make the best of every day that she was given.  It’s with heavy hearts that we must say farewell for now to her kind spirit and hope to find both peace and healing in the abundance of memories which she leaves behind.  Thank you, Debbie, may peace be yours now until we see your precious smile once again.

I loved Deb, she was so so funny. And the best thing about her, was the fact she was such a straight shooter. No lies or rumors and she expected the same in return RIP DEB, you will be missed dearly.
