Delores M. Perry

Delores M. Perry

Delores M. Perry, age 88, of Earlville, IA, formerly of Worthington, IA, completed her earthly journey on October 5, 2025, at home while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Delores’ life, a private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Delores’ family.

Delores was born on November 27, 1936, in Greeley, IA, a daughter to Earl and Agnes (Connelly) Ingles.  She was gifted with a kind and loving spirit which continually saw the good in everyone and almost effortlessly made every room she walked into just a little brighter.  She eventually met and married the love of her life, Dwain Perry, on March 3, 1956.  The two were blessed with a family of their own and have been inseparable ever since.  She and Dwain spent countless hours on the dance floor throughout their decades together and treasured each day they were blessed with.  Delores was primarily a loving wife, mother and grandmother, but she did find time to spend some of her working years outside of the home with Ertl Manufacturing.  While investing her time and talents there, she pretty much stuck to herself  but those who knew her best were quite aware that her heart was always truly at home with her family.

Delores understood that balance in life was necessary for a joyful life as well.  When she was able to find a little free-time in her days, you could easily find her meticulously tending to her vegetable gardens with a sincere smile resting comfortably on her face.  She was also quite a cook and baker and those around her were always treated to delicious meals and even more delicious deserts on a regular basis.  Delores was also known to take excursions with her sisters to the casino on occasion and if the slots were hot, it was not uncommon for them to turn their time together into a 24-hour outing until things cooled off again.  Delores always savored all that was good in this world and not a day went by where she was absolutely delighted to walk through it with her big heart being worn so boldly and vividly right upon her sleeve for all to see.  She was just as loveable as she was loving and for that fact, we are eternally grateful for the 88 years the Lord was gracious enough to share Delores with us.  Thank you, Delores for leading with love, for always accepting those the Lord brought into your life, and for never allowing the darkness of this broken world to ever break your spirit.  May your eternal reunion with your loved ones who’ve been called home ahead of us be a joyous one and we pray that your peace from your earthly health battles brings even more comfort than we could imagine.  We will love and miss you both deeply and dearly until we all meet again!
