Linda J. Cook, age 72 of Galena, Illinois, completed her earthly journey on March 27, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Linda’s life, a private family service is being held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Linda’s family.

Linda was born in 1947 in the city of Chicago.  She was the oldest of 4 girls born to the union of Lawrence and Antoinette.  She was the loving wife of Mike Cook for over 50 years.  They had 2 children, Steve and Joe Cook, who gave them 5 grandchildren; Michaela, Alexander, Glen, Sophia “Sam”, and Oliver. 

In 1988, Mike and Lyn began a new adventure by starting the Brierwreath Manor Bed and Breakfast.  Their love of Galena, along with taking care of others allowed them to run it for over 25 years.  During that time, Lyn spent many hours collecting, arranging, and caring for the things she cherished.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Linda’s name to Hospice of Dubuque.
