Linda K. Kohn, age 68, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on December 11, 2024, at home in the loving arms of her husband. To honor Linda’s life, a private family service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque at a later date. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Linda’s family.
Linda was born on July 27, 1956, in Dubuque, IA, a daughter to John J. and Arlene B. (Hesseling) Meisenburg. She was gifted with a kind and outgoing spirit which she faithfully shared with all those around her throughout her life. Linda never passed up an opportunity to sit around the euchre table and show off her skills and talent to anyone willing to take up the challenge. She savored the competition and was always grateful when a few hands made their way into her day. Linda was a social butterfly through and through and not a day went by when she wasn’t looking for a way to spread her wings a bit if possible. A good conversation, a little give and take, or maybe just catching up on the events of the day in someone’s life was always time well spent in Linda’s heart and mind. But, for those who knew her best it was undeniable that spending time with the grandkids was where her greatest joy could be found. Linda loved them with all of her being and treasured every hour she could with them by her side. It’s difficult to imagine life moving forward without Linda’s love and light shining among us, but we know that her health battles over these last 4 years were simply not going to relent even as she battled courageously till the very end. Thank you, Linda, for keeping your eye on the prize and never giving up despite the challenges which came your way. May we all carry the best parts of your legacy on in our own lives as a testimony to your strength and may the Lord grant you peace now as we all wait patiently for our eternal reunion to arrive in time.
