Linda S. Foust

Linda S. Foust, age 75, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on April 26, 2024, at UnityPoint Finley Hospital, while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Linda’s life, a private family service is being held.  Burial will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dubuque, IA.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Linda’s family.

Linda was born on April 28, 1948, in Davenport, IA, a daughter to Lloyd E. and Laura L. (Chelf) Havner.  She eventually made her way to Dubuque and spent over 40 years of her career as a nurse with Dubuque Urology.  Linda made many friends, both as co-workers and patients along the way and always found great pride in knowing she was helping others each and every day.  Linda was united in marriage to Dennis Michael “Mike” Foust and the two were blessed with many wonderful years together before he was called home ahead of her in 2005.

Linda made it a point to enjoy her free-time away from the office as much as possible.  She always enjoyed visiting family in Lake of the Ozarks and spending as much time on the boat catching up with loved one’s as she could.  She also never passed up an opportunity to sit down with her special friend, Amy to see which of their new favorite movies was playing on the Hallmark Channel.  And all who knew and loved Linda will be quite familiar with the countless hours of fellowship and friendship which were had while hanging out in the driveway bar.  Linda was a social butterfly for sure and if her family and friends were by her side, life was good.  We will miss Linda and her affinity for life.  The memories of her loving kindness were surely be felt in the generations to follow and we can only hope to treasure each beautiful memory until we see her bright smile once again.  Thank you, Linda, for reminding us to keep life simple and always be willing to fight for what is right.  May those lessons be visibly seen in the hearts, minds and lives of all of your family and friends moving forward.
