Mary P. Huberty, age 71 , of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on October 9, 2023, at Dubuque Specialty Care in Dubuque while surrounded by her loving family. To honor Mary’s life, a private family service is being held. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Mary’s family.
Mary was born on September 20, 1952, in Dubuque, Iowa, a daughter to Nicholas J. and Melba E. (Kedley) Bertling. She was gifted with a joyful heart and a sweet spirit from an early age and proudly carried both throughout her entire life. Mary traveled the world with her first husband as a military wife, but sadly, he would be called home much too early and life would have to be reevaluated. Mary met Lloyd White, Jr. and the couple was blessed with a son of their own which quickly became Mary’s greatest joy in life. She did work at various restaurants from time to time, but her heart was always at home with her family. Mary and Rodney always enjoyed a good card game, and a relaxing picnic in the park whenever possible, but ultimately, simply facing each day together was a perfect day in Mary’s eyes. Her humble outlook, combined with a contagious sense of humor made many days so much brighter than they may have appeared from the outside. It’s difficult to imagine the world moving forward without the love and light Mary so graciously illuminated her surroundings, but we know and trust that the Lord has her securely in His secure and loving arms today. Thank you, Mary, for continually leading by example and keeping the darkness at bay and may you memories you leave behind now help to heal the broken hearts you left here as well.
