Michele L. McGee

Michele L. McGee, age 48, of Bettendorf, IA, formerly of Dubuque, completed her earthly journey on September 2, 2021, at UnityPoint Health-Rock Island, IL, after a courageous battle with cancer.  To honor Michele’s life, a private family service is being held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Michele’s family.

Michele was born on November 2, 1972, in Dubuque, Iowa, a daughter to Thomas “Tom” and Kathy (Schubert) Finn.  She grew up with a bright and loving spirit who only intended to embrace life from every angle.  After graduation, Michele decided that it was time to further her education and  proudly obtained her degree and moved into her first career as a surgical tech.  Later, she would discover the joys of being a pharmaceutical rep and invested countless hours into her new path.  She had met the love of her life, Cedric McGee, during these years and as their family grew, her desire to be at home also blossomed.  Michele eventually turned her focus to being home more and the opportunity to spend more time with her husband, and children, became her most favorite priority.  Michele was as fierce as she was sweet.  When the diagnosis of cancer was presented last year, her heart of a lion instantly kicked in as she faced the challenges ahead with strength, courage, and endurance.  The battle Michele fought is beyond words and never did she allow the cancer to defeat her.  The legacy of love she leaves behind can only help to heal our devastated hearts in time.  The world is definitely a little less bright now, but we know that Michele is now resting in eternal perfection and has found a new peace far beyond her earthly struggles.  Thank you, Michele, for continually being such a positive force in the world around you, and may the perfect peace of the Lord hold you in His loving arms until we meet again.
