Mickey George Dole

Mickey George Dole, age 58, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on April 29, 2026, at home while surrounded by his loving family.  Per Mickey’s request, there will be no public services.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Mickey’s family.

Mickey was born on September 29, 1967, in Scales Mound, IL, one of six sons to Ronald and Bernice (Green) Dole.  He was gifted with an independent spirit and continued to live life on his own terms throughout his 58 years among us.  Primarily, Mickey worked as a handy man and shared his talents where and when he could, but for those who knew him best, he was well known for being funny, hardworking, loyal and even outspoken some may say; never one to hold back and stubborn until the very end.  His strength and personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Mickey possessed a deep love for motorcycles and when a little downtime arrived in his day, you could often find him watching his favorite wrestling matches or his Green Bay Packers taking the field.  Rock music was often the soundtrack of his life which matched perfectly his bold and energetic spirit.  Above all, Mickey will be remembered for his fun-loving nature and his wild, unforgettable personality.  He brought laughter, honesty and realness into every room he entered. We are going to miss Mickey vivid and bright light in our daily lives and pray that he finds peace now from his earthly health battles until we all see him again one day.

along with numerous extended family, friends and neighbors.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Butch Dole, Stephen Dole, Rick Dole and Donald Harwick, Jr.

Mickey’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff in the ICU at Finley Hospital, along with those at Hospice of Dubuque for all of their professional and compassionate care.
