Raymond J. “Ray” Fisher, Jr.

Raymond J. “Ray” Fisher, Jr., age 72, of Viroqua, WI, completed his earthly journey on February 20, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, IA.  To honor Ray’s life, a private family service will be held at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Raymond’s family.

Raymond was born on February 26, 1950, in Berwyn, IL, a son to Raymond and Violet (Klecka) Fisher, Sr.  He went on to proudly serve his nation with the U.S. Navy from ’73-’76.  He spent his working career with the Army Corps of Engineers, but his real passion in life usually involved working on his latest project car, spending a little time with a fishing pole in hand, or simply enjoying the companionship of his favorite dogs by his side.  We will miss Raymond moving forward and do pray that he is at peace with the Lord until we meet again.

Those left behind to cherish the memory of Raymond include,

his three children,

Christine (Derek) Schmidt, Dubuque, IA,

Robyn (Jason) Ropson, Waunakee, WI,

and Matthew Fisher, LaCrosse, WI;

along with numerous extended family and friends.

Raymond’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Mercy Hospital for all of their professional and compassionate care, as well as the Iowa Lyon’s Eye Bank for allowing Raymond to leave one final gesture of kindness behind.
