Richard G. Gross, age 60, of East Dubuque, IL, completed his earthly journey suddenly during a short battle with cancer on March 7, 2023. To honor Richard’s life, a private family service is being held. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Richard’s family.
Richard was born on July 31, 1962, in Dubuque, IA, one of eight children to Arthur W. and Loretta A. (Schmitt) Gross. Richard grew up with a simple, kind, and gentle spirit and after high school moved into his autobody career which spanned throughout his life at various shops in the area. When Richard wasn’t working on his latest project, you could easily catch him down on the river fishing, or just relaxing with his favorite canine companions by his side. He was an independent soul who thoroughly enjoyed living life on his own terms. Richard possessed a heart of gold and always enjoyed spending quality time with his nieces and nephews when time allowed. We are truly broken-hearted with the sudden absence of Richard from our daily lives and hope that the abundance of memories he leaves behind for us to treasure will eventually bring a little peace into our hearts and minds. Thank you, Richard, for continually reminding us that life is short and precious at the same time and that we should make the most out of each day we are graciously granted to experience. May the Lord keep you and bless you until we meet again.
Those left behind to cherish the memory of Richard include,
Sue Nelson, Dubuque, IA,
John Gross, Iowa City, IA,
