Victoria G. Kieler

Victoria G. Kieler, 70, of Kieler, WI, was called to heaven on June 4, 2023, at home while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Victoria’s life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in Kieler, WI.

Victoria was born on April 29, 1953, in Dubuque, IA, one of ten children to Leroy and M. Mary (Reinecke) Langkamp.  She grew up with an intrinsic love for God, family, friends and, especially, children. Victoria was united in marriage to her soulmate, Daniel F. Kieler, on April 4, 2001. Together, they enjoyed golfing, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with beloved family and friends. Victoria was fun-loving, strong-willed, generous and outgoing. She had a compassionate heart with endless love to give those she encountered. Her perfect night was a good glass of wine, her best heels and dancing with Danny. Her smile and laugh were infectious.

Victoria was a successful restaurant general manager in both Chicago and Denver before returning home to pursue her true calling in caring for children. She ran a daycare center in Dubuque for many years before spending the last 10 providing in-home childcare. Her love and devotion to the children she cared for was effortless. She treated her many “Children of God” as though they were her own. She maintained close relationships with them well beyond their years in her home, attending their sporting events and celebrating their personal achievements.

Those left to cherish the memory of Victoria include her adoring husband of 22 years, Daniel F. Kieler; her two step-children, D. Jason (Jenny) Kieler, and Stephanie (Jarrod Berns) Nemmers; their three grandchildren, Alissa (Jackson) Pundt, and Jaydan and Jonathan Kieler; her siblings, Deborah (Robert) Kittoe, Ted (Sue) Langkamp, Richard (Laura) Langkamp, Kim (John) Lohberg, Teri (Jack) Steinhoff, Henry (Lori) Langkamp, Ann (Jerry) Domask, Kathy (Perry) Leibfried, and Lori (Ron) Zenz; her brothers and sisters-in-law, David Kieler, Donald (Vicky) Kieler, Beth (David Plant) Hahn, Debra (Max Smith) Lawrence, Karen (Jim) Roth, Kathy (Harold) Crist, and Kelly (Paul) Heaton, along with numerous extended family.

Victoria was preceded in death by her parents; her step-son, Jonathan Kieler; her mother and father-in-law, Martin & Marcy Kieler; and her niece, Stacy (Kittoe) Brown.

Because of Victoria’s love for children, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Victoria’s honor to your favorite childhood charity or organization.
