Patricia A. “Pat” Udzielak, age 86, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on November 11, 2025, at Stonehill Care Center while surrounded by her loving family. To honor Pat’s life, a memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Church of the Resurrection, 4300 Asbury Road in Dubuque, with Rev. Phil Gibbs officiating. Family and friends may join in fellowship for one hour prior to the service at the church. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Pat’s family.
Pat was born on June 25, 1939, in Paterson, New Jersey, a daughter to Charles and Anne (Stewart) Reinhardt. Pat was a good woman who possessed a strong independent spirit and thrived on giving back to her community whenever possible. She was blessed to spend the first 65 years of her life in the New Jersey area before deciding to give the Midwest a try to be closer to family. In 2007 she made the move and her generous heart continued to bless those around her. Pat was a member of the Rotary Club in Piscataway, N.J. for over 12 years and held the office of President during her time. She immediately joined the Rotary Club in Dubuque as well and spent many more years helping where she could. Pat was also a faithful religious education teacher at St. John the Baptist Church in Peosta, and eventually at the Church of the Resurrection until she retired. Pat was lovingly known as a professional volunteer throughout her life and the Mississippi River Museum would surely need to be added to that list. She spent several years with her friends and neighbors at Eagle Pointe Place as well and in true Pat fashion, the community was truly blessed by her kind heart and positive outlook presiding over every conversation and activity she participated in.
Pat was also an avid reader and always enjoyed a few hours with a good book in hand and allowing her mind to grow. She also enjoyed traveling when the opportunities arose and never ventured away from learning new games and making new friends along the way. Pat shared her joyful heart everywhere she went and continually did her best to not only make, but hopefully leave a positive imprint on the world around her. We are going to miss her kind and generous soul moving forward, but are forever grateful for the abundance of beautiful memories she leaves behind. Thank you, Pat, for giving more than you took, for sharing your time and talents within every door that opened before you, and for never allowing the darkness of the world around you to even consider stifling your love and light. May the Lord bless and keep you securely in His loving arms until we all meet again.

Our condolences. Pat was a classy lady who cared very much for everyone she met.
To Debbie and Family:
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing. I remember her fondly from her days at OLF in Piscataway and from Ebbie’s time with Spectra Color Guard. May God hold her in the palm of HIS hand….
I met Pat through the RSVP advisory board. She was such a joy to be around. Her sense of humor was admired by us all. She will be missed but we can all know she enjoyed life to the fullest and was a great example to many.
Our condolences to Pat’s family. Whenever my husband, James Jarrard, and I volunteered at an event at the River Museum, we would look forward to chatting with Pat in her home away from home. So warm, so kind, so welcoming. No wonder Pat was Volunteer of the Year. She will be safely missed by so many. May your warm memories of this gentle soul provide you comfort at this time of loss. ✝️
We are so sorry for your loss! “Mrs. U” was my 4-H leader for many, many years and helped give me a place where I felt important and cared for. I wasn’t always the best at the crafts, but that didn’t matter to her, and some of the things I made with her still get displayed at my parents’ house. Later in life, Pat helped my husband and I find our very first house together. She spent time getting to know me as an adult and us as a couple so that she could find us the perfect fit. She also was quick to NOT let us see anything that wouldn’t have been a good decision for us (or that my mother would’ve been horrified at). Even now,we continue to proudly display the beautiful artwork that she got for us and have loved every letter that we have gotten through the many years that we’ve been apart. Pat was a beautiful soul, and her legacy definitely lives on!
As an employee at the River Museum I enjoyed chatting with Pat many times. She was always upbeat and I always left in a better mood. Such a sweet soul. We should all strive to be more like Pat. And what a wonderful sense of humor. I feel blessed for having known her.
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing. She was a good friend of mine from Rotary and was such a warm and friendly person. With deepest sympathy.

It is with sincere sympathy that we extend our condolences for your loss. We pray that you will find healing, comfort and peace through our Lord Jesus Christ who loves you beyond measure!
Death is something we will all encounter and if we don’t make a decision now before we die, about giving our lives to Him, we will face serious consequences for rejecting Him and His love for us, after our departure from this world. Jesus paid a tremendous price for us by taking the wrath of God on the cross, on our behalf, for our sins and rebellion against God. God, being our Creator, sent Jesus, His Son, to lay down His life for us, so we would never have to face God’s eternal judgement once we leave this earth. Death is not the end for any of us. We will all live on, but where is determined by whether or not we surrender our lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ who is the only way to God the Father and to our salvation from sin, death and destruction. Jesus is only a prayer away. A simple prayer like “Lord Jesus, I believe you are God’s Son who He sent to pay the price for my mistakes, sins, and rebellion against God. Please forgive me for all I have done in rebelling against you, Lord.
I now give and surrender my life to you and ask that you be my Lord and Savior. Thank you for saving me from God’s eternal judgement and allowing me to now be a part of you and your royal family forever. In your name, I pray. Amen. ” God bless you and keep you always during this hour of your grief. I pray you will realize that you’re never alone when you’re in Christ Jesus. His Word guarantees us He will never leave or forsake us.
