Patricia A. “Pat” Udzielak

Patricia A. “Pat” Udzielak, age 86, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on November 11, 2025, at Stonehill Care Center while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Pat’s life, a memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Church of the Resurrection, 4300 Asbury Road in Dubuque, with Rev. Phil Gibbs officiating.  Family and friends may join in fellowship for one hour prior to the service at the church.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Pat’s family.

Pat was born on June 25, 1939, in Paterson, New Jersey, a daughter to Charles and Anne (Stewart) Reinhardt.  Pat was a good woman who possessed a strong independent spirit and thrived on giving back to her community whenever possible.  She was blessed to spend the first 65 years of her life in the New Jersey area before deciding to give the Midwest a try to be closer to family.  In 2007 she made the move and her generous heart continued to bless those around her.  Pat was a member of the Rotary Club in Piscataway, N.J. for over 12 years and held the office of President during her time.  She immediately joined the Rotary Club in Dubuque as well and spent many more years helping where she could.  Pat was also a faithful religious education teacher at St. John the Baptist Church in Peosta, and eventually at the Church of the Resurrection until she retired.  Pat was lovingly known as a professional volunteer throughout her life and the Mississippi River Museum would surely need to be added to that list. She spent several years with her friends and neighbors at Eagle Pointe Place as well and in true Pat fashion, the community was truly blessed by her kind heart and positive outlook presiding over every conversation and activity she participated in.

Pat was also an avid reader and always enjoyed a few hours with a good book in hand and allowing her mind to grow.  She also enjoyed traveling when the opportunities arose and never ventured away from learning new games and making new friends along the way.  Pat shared her joyful heart everywhere she went and continually did her best to not only make, but hopefully leave a positive imprint on the world around her.  We are going to miss her kind and generous soul moving forward, but are forever grateful for the abundance of beautiful memories she leaves behind.  Thank you, Pat, for giving more than you took, for sharing your time and talents within every door that opened before you, and for never allowing the darkness of the world around you to even consider stifling your love and light.  May the Lord bless and keep you securely in His loving arms until we all meet again.

    To Debbie and Family:
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing. I remember her fondly from her days at OLF in Piscataway and from Ebbie’s time with Spectra Color Guard. May God hold her in the palm of HIS hand….

I met Pat through the RSVP advisory board. She was such a joy to be around. Her sense of humor was admired by us all. She will be missed but we can all know she enjoyed life to the fullest and was a great example to many.

Our condolences to Pat’s family. Whenever my husband, James Jarrard, and I volunteered at an event at the River Museum, we would look forward to chatting with Pat in her home away from home. So warm, so kind, so welcoming. No wonder Pat was Volunteer of the Year. She will be safely missed by so many. May your warm memories of this gentle soul provide you comfort at this time of loss. ✝️
