James M. “Jim” Hayes

James M. “Jim” Hayes age 58, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on May 23, 2025, at UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Jim’s life, a private family Celebration of Life is being held.  Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Jim’s family.

Donald A. “Butch” Weiler

Donald A.” Butch” Weiler, age 61, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey suddenly on May 20, 2025, at home after a 9-month courageous battle with cancer.  To honor Butch’s life, a private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Butch’s family.

Don J. Koss

Don J. Koss, 95, of Guttenberg, completed his earthly journey on May 10, 2025, at the Guttenberg Care Center surrounded by his loving family. To honor Don’s life, a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 23, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Garnavillo, with Pastor Gary Hatcher officiating. Family and friends of Don’s are invited to join in fellowship from 9-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Garnavillo Community Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the Garnavillo American Legion.

Tamela M. “Tammy” Felderman

Tamela “Tammy” Felderman, 64, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed  peacefully, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with COPD on May 15, 2025. To honor Tammy’s life, a Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at The Eagles Club, 1175 Century Drive in Dubuque.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Tammy’s family. 

Gail Mary Barth

Gail Mary Barth, age 62, of Belmont, WI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous nine-year battle with breast cancer. She was born on December 10, 1962, to Paul and Mary Kay (Schrobilgen) Barth. In accordance with Gail’s wishes, no formal services will be held. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

Peter T. Woegens

Peter T. Woegens, age 90, of Dubuque, IA, formerly of Sarasota, FL and Manhattan, N.Y., completed his earthly journey on May 2, 2025, at Luther Manor in Dubuque.  To honor Peter’s life, a private family service is being held.  Burial will be in the Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, FL.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Peter’s family.

Glenn W. “Cappy” Hines

Glenn W. “Cappy” Hines, age 61, of Guttenberg, IA, completed his earthly journey on May 6, 2025, at home while surrounded by his loving family and friends.  To honor Cappy’s life, a Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m., on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the Guttenberg Marina Center near landing 615.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Cappy’s family.

Charles C. “Charlie” DeLoach

Charles (Charlie) C. DeLoach passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior at home on April 25, 2025, at the age of 72. He was surrounded by his loving wife and children. To honor Charlie’s life, a Celebration of Life is being held at the Galena Territory Marina on June 22, 2025, at 2 p.m. 

Debra Dolores Swift

Debra Dolores Swift (Holman) sixty-nine of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2nd at Stonehill Health Center, Dubuque, Iowa surrounded by family. Debra was born on October 14, 1955, at Sanford Municipal Hospital in Sanford, Maine, daughter of William and Dolores Holman (Audette). To honor Deb’s wishes, there will be no services. A Celebration of Life will follow at a date yet to be determined.

Mitchell Louis Loso

Mitchell Louis Loso, age 65, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on April 26, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics after a long and courageous health battle with his loving family by his side. To honor Mitchell’s life, a private family service is being held.  Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque at a later date. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Mitchell’s family.

Nancy Lee Borchers

Nancy Lee Borchers, age 81, of Asbury, IA, completed her earthly journey on April 27, 2025, at home with her loving husband of 60 years, Jack, by her side.  To honor Nancy’s life, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Grand View Methodist Church, 3342 John Wesley Drive in Dubuque, with Pastor Tom Shinkle officiating.  Family and friends are invited to join in fellowship from 9:00–10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.  A reception for Nancy’s family and friends will also be held immediately following her memorial service at the church.  Burial will be in the St. Peter Cemetery in Denver, IA.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Nancy’s family.

Barbara S. Dague

Barbara S. Dague, age 83, of Dubuque, IA, formerly of Sabula, Clinton and Maquoketa, completed her earthly journey on April 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Barb, a Celebration of Life will be held on May 17, 2025, at Boyer Hall, Jackson Co. Fairgrounds, Maquoketa.  A private family graveside service will be held at Reeseville Cemetery in Green Island, on June 12, 2025, which would have been Barb and Wayne’s 65th wedding anniversary.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving the family.

Suzanne L. “Sue” Thorsness

Suzanne L. “Sue” Thorsness, age 77, of Galena, IL, formerly of Schaumburg, IL, completed her earthly journey on April 26, 2025, at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque with her loving husband by her side.  To honor Sue’s life, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Sue’s family.

Garry “Josh” Joslyn

Garry “Josh” Joslyn, age 70, of Dubuque IA, completed his earthly journey on April 26, 2025, at Ennoble Manor after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.  Per Josh’s request, there will be no public services.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Josh’s family and friends.

Craig John Steffen

Craig J. Steffen, age 72, of Dubuque, IA, died unexpectedly on April 15, 2025.  A memorial service for Craig will be held at 3:00 p.m. CT, on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3650 Asbury Road in Dubuque. It may also be attended virtually via Zoom meeting ID: 836 8476 0436, Passcode: 1952.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Craig’s family.

Sherrian L. Walton

Sherrian L. Walton, widely known as “Tuna”, age 78, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on April 6, 2025, at home while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Sherrian’s life, a private family service is being held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Sherrian’s family.

Michael F. “Mike” Shaver

Michael F. “Mike” Shaver, age 77, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on April 11, 2025, at Ennoble Manor in Dubuque.  To honor Mike’s life, a private family service is being held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Mike’s family and friends.

Thomas A. “Tom” Denlinger

Thomas A. “Tom” Denlinger, age 67, of Cuba City, WI, completed his earthly journey on April 11, 2025, at Stonehill Care Center while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Tom’s life, a private family Celebration of Life is being held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Tom’s family.

Linda A. Slattery

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda A. Slattery, 76, of Dubuque, Iowa, on April 4, 2025. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. 

Daniel J. Meyer

Daniel J. Meyer, age 69, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey suddenly on April 3, 2025, at home.  To honor Daniel’s life, a private family service is being held.  Entombment will be in the Mt. Calvary Mausoleum in Dubuque.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Daniel’s family.
