Michael “Mike” Ryan, age 70, of Dubuque, IA, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, at home while surrounded by his loving family. A private Celebration of Life to honor Mike’s memory will be held for family and friends. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Mike’s family.

Ruth A. (Fischer) James of Dubuque, IA, formerly of Guttenberg, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 25, 2026, with loving family at her side. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Lt. Col. Robert W. “Bob” Burton, a proud Vietnam Veteran, age 96, of Galena, IL, and Panama City Beach, FL, completed his earthly journey on December 2, 2025, at home while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Bob’s life, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Grace Episcopal Church, 107 South Prospect Street in Galena, with the Very Rev. Dr. Paula Harris officiating.  Burial will be in the Resurrection Garden Cemetery. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Bob’s family.

John G. Wells, age 82, of Boone, IA, completed his earthly journey on April 15, 2026, at UnityPoint-Finley Hospital in Dubuque, IA.  To honor John’s life, private family service is being held at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving John’s family.

Cynthia A. “Cindy” Pepple, age 68, of Galena, IL, completed her earthly journey suddenly on April 16, 2026, at home while surrounded by her loving family. To honor Cindy’s life, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Cindy’s family.

Elizabeth J. “Bette” Pickel, age 84, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on April 16, 2026, at Stonehill Care Center while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Bette’s life, a Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 3685 County HHH in Kieler, WI, with Rev. Thomas Kelley officiating.  A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.  Family and friends are invited to join in food and fellowship at Bette’s Celebration of Life following the mass at 1:00 p.m. at Burkey’s Bar and Grill, 10638 Key West Drive in Dubuque.  Entombment will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Bette’s family.

Lisa M. Manning, age 54, of Dyersville, IA, completed her earthly journey suddenly on April 8, 2026, at UnityPoint-Finley Hospital in Dubuque while surrounded by her sons, Scott and Logan, her daughter, Ariel, her mother, Connie and her daughter-in-law, Madie.  To honor Lisa’s life, her family will have a private gathering at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Lisa’s family.

Patricia A. “Pat” Reich, age 79, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on April 2, 2026, at home while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Pat’s life, a private family service will be held at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Pat’s family.

Doris A. Feipel, age 69, of Ankeny, IA, formerly of Dubuque, IA, passed peacefully on March 29, 2026, at Mill Pond Care Center while surrounded by her loving family. To honor Doris’ life, a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Barbara A. “Barb” Johnson, age 88, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on March 26, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. To honor Barb’s life, a private family service will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Barb’s family.

Ronald Curtis Mahannah, 77, of Asbury, died after a brief illness on Friday, March 27, 2026, surrounded by his family at the UnityPoint-Finley Hospital. There will be no visitation, per Ron’s wishes. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Charmaine M Weaver, age 75, of Darlington, WI, completed her earthly journey on March 25, 2026, at him while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Charmaine’s life, a private family service is being held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Charmaine’s family.

Floriene Necas of Grand Meadows passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026.  A memorial Mass will be held at a later date. 

Douglas A. “Doug” Drish, age 57, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on March 24, 2026, at Dubuque Specialty Care while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Doug’s life, a private family burial will be held at Dubuque Memorial Gardens at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Doug’s family.

Christopher S. “Chris” Peterson, age 37, of Asbury, IA, lost his hard fought battle with cancer on March 13, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Chris’ life, a Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Blades Hall – University of Dubuque.  Inurnment will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque, IA, at a later date. Doris Jane Huber, 91, of Dubuque died Thursday March 19, 2026, at Harmony of Dubuque. According to her wishes there will be no services. Tri-State Cremation Center is serving Doris’ family.

Lori A. “Peanut” Jochum, 59, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on March 19, 2026, after a courageous battle with appendiceal cancer.  To honor Lori’s life, a visitation for family and friends will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1701 Rhomberg Avenue.  A private family committal service will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery with Deacon John Stierman officiating.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Lori’s family.

Richard H. “Dick” Tigges, age 84, of Bernard, IA, completed his earthly journey on March 13, 2026, at home while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Dick’s life, a private family graveside service will be held at Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Dick’s family.

Barbara M. Freiburger, age 79, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on March 13, 2026, at Mercy One Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. To celebrate Barbara’s life, a memorial mass will be held at 12:00 pm Friday March 20, 2026, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 2921 Central Avenue, with Rev. Msgr. Lyle Wilgenbusch officiating. Family and friends are invited to join in fellowship from 10:00-12:00 pm. prior to the service at the church. Private burial services will be in the Mt.
