Sarah A. Francois

Sarah A. Francois, age 45, of Dubuque, IA, was unexpectedly called home to the Lord on June 30, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Sarah, a Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., in the Marble Chapel at Emmaus Bible College, 2570 Asbury Road in Dubuque, with Pastor Keith Leverentz officiating.  Family and friends are invited to visit in fellowship from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, July 10, 2022, in the Marble Chapel at Emmaus. In place of dark attire, the family encourages people attending to wear clothing of color to represent Sarah’s bright spirit. The Tri-State Cremation Center is serving Sarah’s family.

Janet L. Alexander

Janet L. Alexander, age 71, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on July 1, 2022, at ProMedica/ManorCare in Dubuque, while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Janet’s life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 1870 St. Ambrose St, in Dubuque, with Father Steven Rosonke officiating.  Family and friends are invited to visit and share memories from 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. prior to the service at the church.  Inurnment will occur at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Janet’s family.

Shiela M. Dunn

Shiela M. Dunn, age 80, of Dubuque, IA, formerly of Cedar Rapids, IA, completed her earthly journey on June 30, 2022, at Stonehill Care Center, surrounded by her family.  To honor Shiela, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022, from 12:00 noon-3:00 p.m. at 16375 Rustic Forest Trail in Dubuque.  Family and friends are invited to join for food and fellowship in memory of Shiela.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Shiela’s family.

Glen L. Boehme, Jr.

Glen L. Boehme, Jr., age 81, of Dubuque, IA, formerly of Des Moines, IA, completed his earthly journey on June 24, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Glen’s life, a private family service will be held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Glen’s family.

John J. Etienne

John J. Etienne, age 74 of Dubuque, IA completed his earthly journey on June 22, 2022 at Luther Manor Grand Meadows in Asbury with his loving family by his side.  To honor John’s life, his Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 241 Peosta Street in Peosta, IA with Rev. Michael Schueller and Rev. John Haugen officiating.  Family and friends are invited to visit one hour prior to the service at the church and also at John’s Celebration of Life which will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Barrington Lakes Pavilion, 11197 Lakeview Drive in Dubuque, following his services at the church.  Full military honors will be accorded by the Dubuque Marine Corps League and burial will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dubuque.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving John’s family.

Alan C. Kemke

Alan C. Kemke, age 56, of Platteville, WI, completed his earthly journey on June 20, 2022, at home after a courageous battle with ALS.  To honor Alan’s life, a private family service is being held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Alan’s family.

Sandra L. “Sandy” Dew

Sandra L. “Sandy” Dew, age 69, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on June 19, 2022,  at Dubuque Specialty Care after a long battle with multiple health issues. Per Sandy’s request, no services will be held at this time.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Sandy’s family.

Robert W. “Bob” Berning

Robert W. “Bob” Berning, age 67, of Galena, IL,  was called home to the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on June 12, 2022, at home while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Bob’s life, a private family graveside service will be held at Casper Creek Natural Cemetery in Galena, IL.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Bob’s family.

Steven T. “Freckles” Schmieder

Steven T. “Freckles” Schmieder, age 56, of Dubuque, IA.,  completed his earthly journey on June 5, 2022, at UnityPoint-Finley Hospital in Dubuque.  To honor Steve’s life, a private family service is being held at Dubuque Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Steve’s family.

David L. “Dave” Feipel

David L. “Dave” Feipel, age 68, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on May 29, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. To honor Dave’s life, a private family Celebration of Life is being held. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Dave’s family.

Pauline M. Meyer

Pauline M. Meyer, age 90, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on May 28, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family.  Per Pauline’s request, a private family service will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque, IA.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Pauline’s family.

Marilyn L. Pleiness

Marilyn L. Pleiness, age 77, of Cedar Rapids, IA, formerly of Dubuque, IA, was called home to the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on May 28, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids due to complications from COVID Pneumonia. To honor Marilyn’s life, her memorial service will be held on June 25, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Good News Baptist Church, 1203 3rd Avenue S.W., Cedar Rapids, IA, with her brother-in-law, Robert Harvey officiating. Family and friends are invited to join in food and fellowship from 12pm until 2:00 p.m. after the service at the church. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Marilyn’s family.

Janice “Jan” Feltes

Janice “Jan” Feltes, age 67, of Dubuque, IA, passed away at home on May 26, 2022 after a long and brave battle with ovarian cancer.  Jan never gave up hope or stopped fighting. Her family and friends are grateful for the memories that they were able to create and share because of her strength, determination, and optimism. To honor Jan’s life,  services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at the Church of the Nativity, 1225 Alta Vista Street, Dubuque. Visitation service will begin at 9:00am, followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00am.

Patricia A. Perry

Patricia A. Perry, age 85, of Dubuque, IA, was called home to the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on May 14, 2022, at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque.  To honor Patricia’s life, her memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., at the Galena Bible Church, 11108 US 20, Galena, IL, with Pastor Gary Kirst officiating.  Family and friends of Patricia’s may visit in fellowship from 7:00 p.m. with light refreshments prior to the service at the church.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Patricia’s family.

Joyce C. (Clapham) Schoenberger

Joyce C. (Clapham) Schoenberger, age 71, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on May 13, 2022, at UnityPoint Finley Hospital in Dubuque.  To honor Joyce’s life, her Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m., at the Mueller Memorial Chapel at Linwood Cemetery, 2736 Windsor Avenue, in Dubuque.  Burial will be in the Linwood Cemetery.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Joyce’s family.

Deborah K. “Debbie” Meyer

Deborah K. “Debbie” Meyer, age 68, of East Dubuque, IL, died on May 10, 2022, at home after a battle with cancer, while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Debbie’s life, a private family graveside service will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque.  Debbie’s Celebration of Life for family and friends will be scheduled this summer closer to Debbie’s birthday and the arrangements will be announced at that time.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Debbie’s family.

Matthew J. “Chee Chee” Riniker

Matthew J. “Chee Chee” Riniker, age 83, of Bernard, IA, completed his earthly journey on May 8, 2022, at MercyOne in Dubuque.  To honor Matthew’s life, his Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at The Barn, 5090 Sherrill Road, with Rev. James T. Chappell officiating.  Family and friends of Matthew’s are invited to join in faith, food, and fellowship from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at The Barn in Sherrill, IA.  Burial will be in the Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Zwingle, IA, at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Matthew’s family.

Kathleen M. Phillips

Kathleen M. Phillips, age 73, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on April 27, 2022, at MercyOne in Dubuque while surrounded by her loving family.  To honor Kathleen’s life, a private family service is being held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Kathleen’s family.

Van Warren Butcher

Van Warren Butcher, age 83, of Dyersville, IA, was called home suddenly into the grace-filled arms of his Lord and Savior on April 21, 2022, at MercyOne in Dubuque.  To honor Van’s life, military honors will be accorded by the Dyersville American Legion Post # 137 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Dyersville at a later date.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Van’s family.

Eugene V. Majeski

Eugene V. Majeski, age 82, of Platteville, WI, completed his earthly journey on April 19th, 2022, at home while surrounded by his loving family. To honor Eugene’s life, his memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 14th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the New Hope Assembly of God Church, 677 Walnut Dell Road, in Platteville. Family and friends of Eugene’s may visit in fellowship from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. The Tri state cremation center is humbly serving Eugene’s family.
